Jesus

God is so good.
I love YES camp.
Theme: being a friend of God

30 November
3pm: Check-in time at Nacli campsite, room mates with Celeste, Mary, Kylie and Sister Ee Han. 4pm: Ice-breaker games- I am in Moses, along with Chun How, Jonathon Koh, Shu Hui, Darren A, Kylie, Mun Sen, Mitchell, Rachel P, Aloysius, Bro Jia Yang, Sis Jia Min and Sis Woon Cheng. I honestly can't remember what we played.
6pm: Dinner - Played Matthew Mark Luke John with many many youths. Very very and I believe we all bonded.
7.30pm: Meeting 1 - Bro Tong Chia shared that in the Bible, it was recorded that God wanted to be the friends of tax-collectors and sinners, and that he even ate with them, but because people only see what's on the outside, they called Jesus a glutton and a winebibber ( Luke 7:34 ) which is not true. Jesus died on the cross for us so that we could be saved. He said that " Greater love has no one than his, than to lay down one's life for His friends." Shouldn't we all thank God for all that He has done for us?
( When a Christian knows God, they are not afraid of death )
9pm: Supper
10pm: Mingling - Shower and played games and talked and night-watched with room mates. Kylie saw a cockroach in the toilet and she came out (very calmly) and said there's a cockroach. Being the ninny I am, I screamed, causing her to scream, causing everybody else to scream. Brave brave Mary took the bucket and trapped the cockroach underneath it. Then we didn't know what to do, so we waited for Sis Ee Han, she came in and she didn't know what to do.So brave brave Mary took the broom and pan and half-squashed the cockroach and swept it out, while we four cringed. Then another cockroach appeared, and I screamed, again. this time Sis ee Han screamed to, and brave brave Mary DID IT AGAIN. Later on, I spotted a lizard. I did not scream. :)
11pm: Night prayer and sleep. Slept at 1am, couldn't sleep, ended up giving Kylie my pillow and sleeping on her bag. Hohoho.

1 December
7.30am:
Rise and Shine - I am a pig.
8am: 5BX - exercise time, Bro Joseph can really tire you out.
8.30am: BREAKFAST - my favorite time :) the porridge is the bomb, I ate 3 bowls. Chicken porridge + Oil + shallots + ikan billis = bliss.
10am: Waled/ trekked to Kent Ridge part and played Ultimate Frisbee. Very rough, many came back with battle scars. WAHAHAHAHHA, Moses got trashed 7-0 for one of the matches. :O
12 noon: Lunch
1.30om: Indoor games - more bonding time, played a few games, got sabo-ed twice for "Don't forget the (hymn) lyrics. I was shivering ok, so scary. But Moses got both right without life-lines, super right! When I came back, Jonathan Koh told me, " you sang? It doesn't sound like you, voice so angelic." HAHAHAHAH, so cute, thanks. Kylie, said: That means you sound devil-ish.
Went back to my room to get something, but I forgot the key, so i very barbaric-ly climbed through the window.
4pm: Workshop - Had to plan for a showcase for our character (for Saturday) MOSES ALL THE WAYYYYY!
5pm: Tea Break
5.30om: Meeting 2 - Again, very powerful and touching. God and us, it has to be a 2-way friendship. We cannot ask Him to do all the things for us but don't do anything for Him. If that's what we need, you don't need God, you need a genie. Abraham and God's friendship was a very close and intimate one, where God told Abraham that He wanted to destroy the city of Sodom, but Abraham prayed for Lot's family, and God agreed to let them live.
Bro Tong Chia also gave the comparison of the slave girl and the 3 masters. 2 were bad, but the good one kept bidding for her, eventually she was sold to the good master for a very great price. The master, brought her to the black smith and broke the chains, he said to her "you're free now" and walked away. Shocked, the slave girl ran after him and said she wanted to be his slave for us. that is exactly what God has done for us, how great is He?
( God only wants us to love Him with all out heart, we owe it to Him)
7pm: Dinner - BBQ, some saints bbq-ed the whole way, it feels good serving God, even through serving our fellow saints.
9pm: Hymns - it's so encouraging to see the p6s call hymns
10.30pm: Matthew very kindly donated cup noodles to the saints who barbecued the dinner. :D
Ate with room mates, God provides food for us. :D
11pm: Night watch and sleeeeeeeeep.
